Entitled "Peindre en France: trente ans de recherches sur les manuscrits à peintures en France, 1440-1520", this international symposium celebrates the 30th anniversary of the major publication by François Avril and Nicole Reynaud, Les manuscrits à peintures en France, 1440-1520, which accompagnied the memorable exhibition held at the Bibliothèque nationale de France in 1993: Quand la peinture était dans les livres.
